Palacio Paz, in Retiro

In front of Plaza San Martín, in the heart of Retiro neighbourhood, Palacio Paz (also known as Palacio Retiro) was the largest and one of the most luxurious residences in Buenos Aires.

At the end of the XIX century it was commissioned by the journalist and politician José C. Paz, founder of La Prensa newspaper, and it transcended time as an example of French eclectic architecture.

After being the residence of the Paz family, the Palace was acquired by the Círculo Militar Argentino, and it became its headquarters. For many years, it also housed the Museo de Armas de la Nación, where an important collection of historical weapons was exhibited.

With its French style halls and imposing staircases, it still is an ideal setting for social and cultural events. So much so that on the second floor we can find the Dining Hall of a prominent restaurant-café, which offers varied options to enjoy an unmissable plan.

Palacio Errázuriz, in Recoleta

This palace, located in Recoleta, is a true architectural treasure, with an important collection of decorative art. Its halls, with antique furniture and art pieces, are a journey to another time.

Built at the end of the XIX century, this palace was the residence of the Errázuriz family. Today, it is a museum that exhibits a decorative art collection that spans from the XVI century to the XX century.

In addition to the tea service, the Museo Nacional de Arte Decorativo offers guided tours of the palace which, led by experienced guides, invite you to admire the architecture and the art collection gathered there.
