What is Parque de Innovación?
In Núñez neighbourhood,where Tiro Federal once operated, this 12-hectare site combines nature and technology. Unique in its kind, it brings together multiple outdoor recreational areas that coexist with a cutting-edge technological, entrepreneurial, educational and scientific hub.
The park is 65% in the open-air, featuring six squares, and a central green corridor. Within the park, circulation must be carried out with non-polluting means, promoting new sustainable mobility alternatives. That is to say, only walking, bicycles or electric scooters are allowed.
Green and art: a creative alliance
The most striking feature of this park: a monumental artwork 34 metres tall, comparable to an 11-storey building, that rises in an imposing way.
This piece of art, called Arbórea Magna, is a creation by Argentine artist Nicola Costantino and has become the new icon of the park.
Its galvanized iron structure and its Nerikomi ceramics, an ancient Japanese technique, make it a unique piece. Featuring a LED lighting system that illuminates its leaves, this artwork is an invitation to reflect on our relationship with nature.
Winner of the 2022 Concurso de Ideas, it features over 17 ceramic pieces that express the beauty and complexity of this relationship. Curved walkways lead to a viewing platform from where you can appreciate every detail.
While the park remains open 24 hours a day, the Arbórea Magna light show can be enjoyed until 22 pm, making the evening the perfect time to visit it.
A stroll through the architecture of the future
The buildings at Parque de la Innovación will amaze you with what happens behind their façades. Here you will find:
- Centro de Inmersividad:get ready to explore a world of virtual and augmented experiences. This multipurpose space features a 20-metre diameter dome that will transport you to alternative realities thanks to its 360° projection system. Additionally, a 14-metre simulator and state-of-the-art equipment will allow you to explore the infinite possibilities of virtual reality and videogame development.
- +54Lab:designed to boost the entrepreneurial ecosystem, this coworking building offers a collaborative and dynamic work environment. With equipped laboratories, meeting spaces and a hydroponic garden, the building combines functionality and sustainability. Its open and adaptable design provides technology and life science startups with the perfect space to develop their projects.
