24 hours to enjoy the city

If you are passing through Buenos Aires and you want to take the opportunity to see the most important sights, it is possible! Here we tell you how to get organized.

In the morning: Take a tourist bus to get an overview of the city. Visit, for example, Plaza de Mayo, Casa Rosada, Teatro Colón and its surroundings.

¡Take note of this information, it will be very useful! Every day there are two tourist buses: one is yellow and the other red, which offer two different circuits.

The service is hop-on hop-off, which allows you to get off and on as many times as you like at any of the stops within the duration of your ticket (there are 24 or 48 hour passes). Buses run every 30 minutes and rides last approximately 3 hours. In this site you can find more information.

In the afternoon: Enjoy a typical lunch in a bodegón in San Telmo, the oldest neighbourhood in the city. Stroll through its cobbled streets and visit its antique shops. You can find some of all this in the Mercado de San Telmo!

At night: A good plan is to book a tango dinner show, where you can enjoy an exquisite typical Argentinean meal, while you delight yourself with the dance that will make you fall in love with the rhythm of the 2×4.

Do you have 48 hours?
Then take a look at this itinerary

On Day 1., we suggest you follow the 24-hour itinerary above, including bus, which will give you a glimpse of the highlights, the streets and the eclectic atmosphere of Buenos Aires.

There are different proposals throughout the city, however, for the time you have, the best thing to do is to choose among the unmissable ones: the Museo Nacional de Bellas Artes (admission is free), Museo de Arte Moderno and MALBA (Museo de Arte Latinoamericano de Buenos Aires).

In the afternoon, explore an emerging neighbourhood such as Palermo Soho or also  Villa Crespo, where in addition to shops and outlets, you'll find a wide range of speciality cafés.
